Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 4 May 2026.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using LetLedger you agree to these rules. Breach them and we may suspend or terminate your account.

1. Use the service for what it's for

LetLedger is bookkeeping software for UK landlords. Use it to manage your own rental records. Don't use it as a generic data-processing pipe for anything else.

2. Data you upload

You confirm that:

Don't upload: medical records, employee payroll data unrelated to a let, anything covered by special-category UK GDPR rules, anything subject to legal hold or NDA you can't share.

3. Don't do this

4. Reasonable use

The service is metered by good-faith use, not hard rate limits. If you're uploading volumes that look like a different product (10,000-row CSVs, automated multi-account uploads) we'll get in touch first before taking action.

5. AI output is yours to verify

The AI categorisation is a suggestion. You are responsible for what you submit to HMRC. See Disclaimer and Terms.

6. Reporting abuse

Email hello@letledger.uk with details. We respond to credible reports within a reasonable time.

7. Consequences

If you breach this policy we may, at our discretion: warn you, suspend your account, terminate your account, delete your data after a notice period, and report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes take effect 14 days after we post the updated version at this URL.
