What this means in practice
- Every category, confidence score, and reason shown by LetLedger is indicative only.
- The SA105 summary and PDF are produced by adding up your categorised transactions. Garbage in, garbage out.
- The AI can confidently misclassify a transaction. The "review queue" exists specifically because that happens.
- UK tax rules change. We update categories and rules when we notice; we don't guarantee currency.
- Edge cases (joint ownership splits, prior-year losses, FHL transitions, non-resident landlord scheme, rent-a-room) need professional advice.
Use a professional when it matters
If your tax position is non-trivial — multiple properties, mixed-use, incorporation, capital gains, FHL — instruct a qualified accountant. LetLedger gives them clean records to work from. It does not replace them.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it is error-free, that AI output is correct, that the service will be available, or that any specific tax outcome will result from its use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are excluded.
Liability
See clause 9 of the Terms of Service for the full liability provisions. In short: we accept no responsibility for tax assessments, penalties, interest, or any loss flowing from reliance on the service. Liability that cannot be excluded by law is capped at fees paid in the prior 12 months (currently £0 during the beta).
